Alan Hill

I am a photographic practitioner working both independently and collaboratively on personal and commissioned projects. I am an Associate Lecturer in Photography at the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia and I am also completing a doctoral research project centred on developing cooperative image production practices with social justice groups, through Griffith University.

My collaborative practice with Kelly Hussey-Smith explores societal and ideological positions through social landscapes, with a particular interest in transitioning relationships between economy and community.  Similarly, my personal work often returns to an examination of human practice through the spaces we create, inhabit and interact with.
